NUS MSc Scholarships & Study Awards

A limited number of NUS MSc Scholarships and study awards are available for outstanding applicants. All applicants who submit their applications by the first cut-off date will be automatically considered; no separate application is required.

 

Recipients are selected based on merit in the following categories:

These awards are given to outstanding candidate(s) who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and strong performance in the application process, including the interviews.
Scholarship
Diversity
These awards are given to outstanding candidate(s) who come from diverse personal and professional backgrounds and experience and can enrich the learning experience of their cohort.
Scholarship
Resilience
These awards are given to outstanding candidate(s) who have demonstrated determination and perseverance to achieve excellence despite of adversity and hardship.

ASEAN Candidates
These awards are given to outstanding candidate(s) who are nationals of ASEAN countries.

These awards are given tooutstanding candidate(s) who have demonstrated strong academic performance and a clear commitment to advancing sustainability and green finance.  

The NUS ASEAN Master’s Scholarship is a continuation of the DiscoverNUS scheme. It is an exclusive bond-free scholarship that covers full tuition fees for the normal candidature period of a Master’s Degree programme at NUS. The scholarship may be offered only to candidates who have met all the following requirements: 

  1. Hold citizenship in Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand or Vietnam, 
  2. Have completed an undergraduate semester at NUS under the DiscoverNUS scheme, 
  3. Have earned an undergraduate degree from one of the partner universities in their country, and 
  4. Have been offered a place in one of the designated Master’s Degree programmes at NUS (refer to the flyer downloadable from the link below). 
  5. Students who apply for a Semester 2 intake are not eligible for the scholarship 

A separate application to be considered for the scholarship is not necessary. 

Recipients of the scholarship may not concurrently hold any other scholarship, fellowship, bursary, grant, award or allowance without notifying NUS. If a recipient withdraws from the University and/or terminates the scholarship prematurely, NUS reserves the right to impose repayment of all scholarship monies disbursed.

NUS Business School and the Indonesia Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) have partnered to offer joint scholarships to Indonesian citizens who wish to pursue their postgraduate studies in selected specialised masters programmes. These scholarships cover full tuition and related costs. For more information, please visit LPDP website 

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) – Japan Scholarship Program is funded by the Government of Japan, and awarded annually to outstanding candidates who are citizens of borrowing member countries of the ADB and are admitted to the full-time MSc Sustainable and Green Finance programme. Upon completion of their studies, scholars are expected to contribute to the economic and social development of their home countries. The scholarship covers full tuition fees and some expenses. Financial Aid

  • All NUS alumni will receive a 20% tuition fee rebate. 
  • For double and joint degree programmes, the tuition fee rebate will apply only to courses that are offered by NUS.  
  • Not stackable with other rebates, scholarships or study grants.
